Special Issue on Ecosystem Services (part 1)
This report provides an introduction to this six-part special issue on the role of ecosystem services thinking and methods in measuring, better understanding, and tracking progress towards the goals of Māori cultural well-being and survival. This introductory report (part 1) seeks to (i) define and position ecosystem services thinking in relation to key Māori cultural perceptions of reality and (ii) provide initial comment on key issues developed more fully in the 5 other reports that make up this special issue.
